ZSOLNAY, BLUE EOSIN GLAZED MODERN STYLE PORCELAIN FROG BY JUDIT NÁDOR (D012) With a rare, irridescent blue eosing glaze, the photos can't really give back the real life beauty of this glaze ! Artist : Nádor Judit (1934-2016) In 1962, graduated from the Hungarian University of Arts and Design with a specialization in ceramics, under the tutelage of Miklós Borsos and Árpád Csekovszky. From 1962, worked as a designer at the Zsolnay Porcelain Factory in Pécs, where their eosin and porcelain decorative vessels and gift items were mass-produced. In 1967, received a diploma for the 'Most Beautiful Product of the Year' competition; in 1974, won the first prize at the First National Ceramic Exhibition in Pécs. Their porcelain works are characterized by the application of folk carving motifs, constructiveness, and stylization. The ancient cultures and traditions of Eastern peoples are revived in their art. Their space dividers and columns, formed from pyrogranite and chamotte elements, are based on positive-negative forms and the rhythm of perforations.
